  • O son of Kunti, the nonpermanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed.

  • Everyone is forced to act helplessly according to the qualities he has acquired from the modes of material nature; therefore, no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.

  • Amongst thousands of persons, hardly one strives for perfection, and amongst those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows me in truth.

  • Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.

  • Always chanting My glories, endeavoring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion.

  • I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me.

  • Reshape yourself through the power of your will; never let yourself be degraded by self-will.

  • Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.

  • The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.

  • In the material world, three factors are the cause of bondage: the performer, the work, and the Supreme.”
