Just as Trisanku was ascending towards heaven, Indra, the king of gods, intervened. He used his divine power to reverse Trisanku’s direction and cast him back to Earth, upside down.
Vishwamitra was undeterred by Indra’s interference. He vowed to create an alternate heaven for Trisanku, a parallel universe where the king could enjoy the celestial pleasures he desired. With his extraordinary spiritual power, Vishwamitra created this new heaven and transported Trisanku there.
